Origin: This variety was bred by Sophia Saakova in Russia, she is rapidly becoming known for developing interesting tomato varieties.
Appearance: This is a truly eye-catching tomato. The fruits are typically heart-shaped or elongated hearts with a distinct "nose" or point at the end. They ripen to a beautiful bi-colour blend of yellow-orange with prominent red stripes. Crucially, they also feature indigo-blue or dark anthocyanin splashes on the shoulders where they receive direct sunlight. This combination of colours gives them a truly "caramel" or burnt sugar appearance, justifying the name. The flesh inside is also bi-colour.
