The tomato variety 'Nicht Blue Angel' (which translates to "Not Blue Angel" from German) is a specific selection by the German breeder Kleverhof.
Origin: Kleverhof, Germany who state "Tom Wagner's original selection is actually a cherry tomato called Blue Angel. This one was selected to be larger and received the same variety name. This isn't common practice; confusion can arise. After all, the breeder once described the characteristics. We deliberately included this variety in our repertoire to demonstrate that a bit of "Wild West" style prevails in the tomato scene". So they called this variety Not Blue Angel
Fruit Appearance: It's a black over red, delicate salad tomato. While the original 'Blue Angel' is typically a red cherry tomato with blue/purple shoulders, the Kleverhof strain is a larger red tomato with blue/purple antho shoulders.
