Originating from Germany (associated with Aromagärtnerei Deaflora in Werder/Havel, Brandenburg), Der Kleine Doctor (The Little Doctor) often spelled Der Kleine Doktor, is a highly productive, dark pigmented cherry to saladette tomato. Celebrated across European collector networks as an exceptional, reliable alternative to Black Cherry, it is known for its strong vigour, crack resistant skin, and outstanding performance in cool outdoor conditions as well as greenhouses and polytunnels.
Fruit Shape: Round to slightly oval, uniform large cherry to small saladette size
Fruit Weight: 20g to 30g, measuring roughly 3 to 4 cm in diameter
Skin Colour: Deep mahogany red brown to dark purple with translucent epidermis and subtle olive green shoulders.
Flesh & Taste: Succulent, dark red interior with 2 to 3 seed cavities and thin, crack resistant skin. Delivers a deeply rich, jammy sweetness balanced with a bright, fruity acidic finish
